From the inside.

I spent 21 years inside higher education before going full time on ES Designs in May 2026. Most of that time I led online learning, instructional design, and faculty development — first as a senior faculty member and Director of a Center for Teaching and Learning and then as the Executive Director at a MA community college. I led a college-wide emergency pivot to remote learning during COVID, and along the way grew frustrated with the gap between what teachers and students actually needed and what institutional tools could deliver.

In 2020 I started teaching myself to code so I could close some of those gaps myself. Five years later I write production C#, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript, and ship full-stack work across Next.js, React, Supabase, and Postgres — over 113 repositories on GitHub. I’ve built and maintained a portfolio of tools end-to-end: accessibility products like Document Ally Pro and the AI Website Audit, the Compliance Roadmap Tool, a course platform hosting sixteen of my own courses — including a new line teaching faculty and administrators to use AI well — and VR learning experiences for Meta Quest. ES Designs is the umbrella for that work.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) from Lesley University, an MA in English Writing and Teaching from UMass Boston, and a BA from UMass Lowell. I’m based in Massachusetts. ES Designs is built by an educator for educators — not by an enterprise IT vendor repurposing their compliance product line.
