Your real-world elliptical movement powers your journey through branching tracks, collectible gems, and timed gate challenges. Elliptical Explorer is the first shipped VR product from ES Designs — a proof-of-concept for a broader VR roadmap.
How It Works

Navigate branching paths, collect gems, and race through timed gates across immersive low-poly environments.

Track your fitness stats, unlock new environments, and challenge yourself with harder routes and mission types.

Elliptical Explorer transforms your exercise machine into a vehicle for exploration. Using real-world head movement on an elliptical or stationary bike, you navigate through immersive 3D environments, collect treasures, and complete missions.
Built in Unity 6 for Meta Quest, the game features branching tracks, three distinct mission types, difficulty scaling, and a full original soundtrack.

Explore and collect gems scattered throughout the world.

Gameplay Details
Head Bob Locomotion
Real elliptical movement converts to VR speed. The faster you pedal, the faster you move.
Gliding Mechanics
Pick up hang gliders to soar through the air. Maintain RPM to gain altitude, coast to descend.
Branching Tracks
Choose your path at junctions. Each route offers different challenges and collectible placement.
HUD Dashboard
Real-time stats: speed, distance, calories, RPM, accuracy, and elapsed time on your heads-up display.
Power-Ups
Collect speed boosts and special items. Multipliers reward consistent effort and exploration.
Progression
Complete all three missions to unlock the next level. Track your best times and accuracy records.
Environments
Explore Multiple Worlds
Navigate through detailed environments from cozy polygon towns to sprawling mega-cities. Each level features unique architecture, terrain, and track layouts.
Town
A peaceful wireframe village with rolling hills, winding roads, and charming low-poly buildings. Perfect for getting started.
City
Towering neon skyscrapers, glowing streets, and a sprawling urban landscape. A faster, more challenging environment.
